
Kayla Harris, LPC (she/her)
Kayla Harris is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She has experience working with adults, couples/families, children/adolescents, and groups.
Kayla is a skilled practitioner of evidence-based techniques like Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, family systems, and Mindfulness. She is also trained in trauma-informed yoga.
She specializes in grief and loss, identity, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and LGBTQ+ needs. She received training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), a technique that is especially suited to treat obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Kayla is also experienced in helping with sexually related trauma and eating disorders.
Her solution-focused approach aims to create a space where individuals are seen, known, and understood. She believes that a strong therapeutic relationship with her patients is key to unlocking the healing power of any mental health treatment. Kayla’s goal is to help her patients discover the greatest gift we can offer ourselves: resilience, mental clarity, and peace.
Kayla has a dual Bachelor’s degree from Duquesne University in Psychology and Women and Gender Studies. She then obtained her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Duquesne University.
