Kayla Harris is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor.  She has experience working with adults, couples/families, children/adolescents, and groups.  Kayla utilizes evidence-based practices like solution-focused, and interpersonal approaches with aspects of family systems, Mindfulness, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic.  She specializes in grief and loss, identity, anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, ADHD, and LGBTQ+ needs.  Kayla is also experienced in helping with sexual related trauma and eating disorders. She is trained in trauma-informed yoga.

Kayla believes that mental clarity and peace are among the greatest values and gifts we can offer ourselves.  She also believes in resilience within all of us and the healing power of a strong therapeutic relationship.  She honors the belief that we all desire to be seen, known, and understood, and she aims to create a space where individuals experience just that, welcomed and embraced.

Kayla has a dual Bachelor’s degree from Duquesne University in Psychology and Women and Gender Studies. She then obtained her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Duquesne University.
