
Nicole DeCicco, PsyD (she/her)
Dr. Nicole DeCicco is a pre-licensed, postdoctoral clinician and certified school psychologist. She has experience working in school, private practice, and clinic-based settings, providing culturally sensitive, strengths-based assessment and therapy. Nicole has conducted comprehensive evaluations for a range of developmental, behavioral, learning, and emotional concerns, including developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, anxiety, and depression.
Nicole takes a client-centered, evidence-based approach and believes that meaningful care begins with understanding the whole child. She values collaboration with children, families, schools, and other providers and strives to create a supportive environment where children and families feel heard, understood, and respected. Her approach emphasizes not only identifying areas of concern but also recognizing each child’s individual strengths and using those strengths to guide meaningful recommendations and supports.
Nicole completed her undergraduate education at the University of Rhode Island, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She later earned a Master of Science in Education with a concentration in Child Psychology from Duquesne University before completing her Doctor of Psychology in School Psychology, also at Duquesne University. She completed her predoctoral internship at The Hope Centers. During that time, she also participated in the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) program through UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and the University of Pittsburgh.
