Reggi Armes, LAPC/M.Ed., is a Licensed Associated Professional Counselor with a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and additional training in Addiction and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. 

Reggi works with adolescents, young adults, and adults who struggle with their mood, attention, interpersonal relationships, or addiction. She is experienced in helping individuals manage symptoms related to trauma, identify exploration, or major life transitions. She has specialized experience in group facilitation, relapse prevention, crisis intervention, and recovery-oriented care. Reggi has extensive experience across clinical, residential, medical, and university settings.

Creating a safe and collaborative therapy space is critical for Reggi. She ensures that her clients feel respected, supported, and encouraged to explore growth at their own pace. Reggi seeks to understand each client’s unique lived experience so that she can flexibly offer effective coping skills and tailored support.

She draws from various evidence-based treatment models such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), mindfulness-based interventions, and strengths-based counseling to help her clients increase insight, emotional regulation, and adaptive coping. Her work is informed by developmental, systemic, and biopsychosocial frameworks, recognizing the complex interplay between mental health, substance use, identity, environment, and lived experience.

Reggi is committed to culturally responsive and LGBTQIA+ affirming practice and integrates cultural humility, equity, and social context into all aspects of treatment. Drawing from her background in mindfulness and meditation facilitation, she also incorporates somatic awareness and grounding strategies to support nervous system regulation and whole-person healing.

Reggi Armes holds a Master of Education from Duquesne University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in Nursing and Women and Gender Studies.
