Alexis Seary, MSW, LSW (they/she)
Alexis is a Licensed Social Worker with over seven years of experience supporting individuals across diverse mental health settings. Their clinical background includes working in Mental Health Crisis Residential Treatment Centers and LGBTQIA+ therapy clinics in San Francisco, where they developed a deep commitment to trauma-informed and identity-affirming care.
Their therapeutic style is collaborative and relational—centered on the belief that healing happens through connection, not hierarchy. Rather than adopting a “therapist-as-expert” model, Alexis empowers clients to access their own inner wisdom and bodily intelligence as vital tools for growth and resilience. Their practice integrates evidence-based modalities such as EMDR, CBT, Expressive Arts Therapy and Mindfulness.
Alexis is passionate about helping youth and adults heal from trauma and navigate life’s challenges with greater ease and self-awareness. They specialize in trauma recovery, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Somatic Experiencing, and offer support for depression, life transitions, relationship dynamics, communication challenges, neuro-divergence, gender/sexuality exploration, and more
In addition to their clinical work, Alexis brings over six years of experience as a Nanny and Outdoor Forest Preschool teacher, where they cultivated a nature-based, somatic understanding of healing and development. Their rich combination of professional experiences informs their holistic, grounded approach to therapy.
Alexis holds a BA in Social Anthropology and Cultural Studies from the University of Kent in Canterbury, England, and earned their Master’s in Social Work from California State University, East Bay.
Clients who work with Alexis can expect an inclusive, respectful, and nurturing space—one where insight, growth, and authentic self-expression are deeply supported.
